Club Overview

Mission Statement	To enhance the enjoyment of our sport with group activities centered around one common bond: Motorcycling
History	The Lone Star BMW Riders was formed in April, 1995 by 20 or so individuals who saw a need for a club in the North Dallas area. Our membership has grown to over 100. We have a very diverse membership from many different professions that share the sport of "Motorcycling".
BMWMOA	We are chartered club #252 of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (BMWMOA) organization. BMWMOA is the key conduit between BMW owners and the BMW company. BMWMOA also organizes the annual BMW Rally that draws thousands of BMW owners from around the country. Their monthly magazine, BMW Owners News (BMW ON) has many useful articles plus ads from many vendors. They featured LSBMWR as an Ace of Clubs in the October 2009 issue. We encourage our members to join this organization.
Meetings	We meet the third Monday of the month at Humperdink's. The meeting starts @ 7:30pm so come early for dinner (6:00pm). Humperdink's 1601 N Central Expy Richardson, TX 75080-3504 972-690-4867 Other socials and rides, both one-day and weekend, occur throughout the year. The best way to know what is going on is to periodically check back to the home page (at least weekly!) for updates and join the Yahoo!Group email list. We encourage family participation in all our activities. We firmly believe that the club will best serve its membership if we make the family an integral part of the club. Hence our dues are stated as "per family".
Membership Dues	$15.00 annually per family due on January 1st each calendar year.
Communications	The LSBMWR Yahoo Group is used to communicate with club members, post trip reports, favorite links, etc.
